In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus gives The Parable of the Talents to teach us specifically about "the kingdom of heaven." One servant invested five talents and earned five more. A second servant invested two talents and earned two more.

The first and second servants each earned the following praise: "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord."

As servants, we are commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ to invest in ministry like the first servant.  In return for your faithful giving, we will measure our success in terms of baptisms, discipleship training, attendance, and participation. While measuring all of these areas in the aggregate, we will focus on each member, each visitor, and each opportunity to share the gospel.
