Know Where To Go

All children’s programming begins and ends in The COVE. Parents can pick up in the COVE registration area at the close of any program.

Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in opens about 15 minutes prior to service time. For your children’s safety and to help us maintain accurate attendance records, please escort children to COVE and check in (regardless of child’s ability to walk self). For security reasons, please remain outside The COVE at all times and wait for our Host to assist you. If you would like to observe the programming, let the Host Team know and they will escort you into a secure location.

Registration
If you are a guest, please complete a Registration Form to add your child to the roster, assign them to a small group, receive mail, and record health and custody concerns. Rosters are updated weekly.

Promotion to new classes
Classes begin and end on Promotion Day, typically a Sunday in August. Children are placed in classes by birth date or current grade level and remain there all year, even during summer months, and regardless of their turning a year older. This helps maintain consistency in classes.

KidzWorship Leadership
Regularly attending parents serve in 1 KidzWorship during 1 service a quarter. Sign-ups are in The COVE. Thanks for your help in this area. Parents are also added to their child’s emergency Sub List.

Sickness Policy
We want all of our children healthy and happy. Please keep children home if they have a fever greater than 99.0 or a contagious illness. To maintain healthy rooms, our volunteers are instructed not to admit sick children.

Security Procedures
At check-in, parents and children will receive a sticker with a matching code. At check-out, children will only be released to parents who show the matching code sticker.

Emergency Procedures
All COVE classrooms are equipped with basic first aid kits and all volunteers briefed in emergency procedures. For minor accidents, staff & volunteers will perform necessary treatment on their own. For more serious accidents, FBCA’s Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) will be called upon to perform necessary treatment. All accidents are documented on an Accident Report Form and parents will receive a copy of the report at check-out if any accident involving their child occurred.
