Parents

Greetings! We hope that the exciting world of parenting your teenager is treating you well. Fall is upon us and we are gearing up for some life changing events for your students.

Our staff is here for you in the process of raising and developing spiritually healthy teenagers.  Please check out our calendar and take the time to get involved.  We want your teenager plugged in and we would love to have you involved as well. Hope you and your family have a great year!

Q: How do I get my son/daughter involved in The Student Ministry?

A: This is probably the most frequently asked question of The Student Ministry. The tough part is, there is no one right answer for every student. We do want to offer a few different ideas for getting your son/daughter involved in The Student Ministry. One of the easiest ways is to introduce them to one of the Student Pastors at a weekend service. We invite you to come with your student and make yourselves known to a student ministry staff member. Once a staff member meets them, we find a student who can show your son/daughter around during the services. Another way to get your student connected is to get them involved in a Connect Group. These groups are age and gender divided.

Q: What are all the events available to the students at FBC Alpharetta?

A: There are way too many events to list for each individual ministry within The Student Ministry. The best way to find out about all of the events is to check out the events section of the website. On that site, you will find all the upcoming events within The Student Ministry. You can also call The Student Ministry office for any event questions or information.

Q: How do I, as a parent, get involved in The Student Ministry?

A: There are numerous ways for you, as a parent or guardian, to get involved in The Student Ministry. The easiest way to be involved is to pray for The Student Ministry on a regular basis. Although there are a lot of things going on in the ministry, none of those things make a significant difference without God’s power. As far as physically getting involved in the ministry, there are tons of ways to get plugged in. You can be a Grounded Bible study leader or a Grounded Bible study host home. You can contact any of the Student Ministry pastors for more details on how to get involved.

Q: Why does The Student Ministry do the things it does?

A: The Student Ministry does things in particular ways in order to fulfill the vision of the church. Rest assured, anything that happens within The Student Ministry falls under the purpose of The Student Ministry itself.
